25 years anniversary
SwissNeutronics AG was founded on April 9, 1999 as a spin-off company of the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) in Villigen, Switzerland. At that time, PSI was engaged in the development and production of neutron guides for the new spallation neutron source SINQ, which was inaugurated in 1997. As a result, there was great international interest in the use of modern neutron guides. Therefore, PSI was contacted by several neutron scattering centers abroad to share its expertise on a commercial basis. This was of course outside the scope of PSI as a research institute but could be easily managed by outsourcing these activities to the company SwissNeutronics AG. Now, 25 years later, we can proudly look back on a great time full of challenges and developments that pushed boundaries with great success. At this point we would like to thank our companions and all the people who approached SwissNeutronics AG with interesting tasks. We value their trust that we can deliver the solutions they require. We look forward to continue this path with our long-standing partners and with new faces to remain at the forefront of research and development of world-class neutron optical components in the future.
